Dr. Rachel Burnett is an Indiana licensed Audiologist. Dr. Burnett received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language, and Communication Sciences at Purdue University. She continued her education earning her doctorate degree in Audiology from the University of Louisville which included extensive training in hearing aids and balance assessments. While pursuing her doctorate, she completed research on probe-mic measurements that was published in an audiology journal: Audiology Practices.
Dr. Burnett has over 12 years experience in private practice where she focused on treating hearing loss with hearing aids. She has a passion for helping people reconnect to their loved ones and activities through better hearing. She believes in taking a personalized approach and using the best standards of care for each individual. For four years, Dr. Burnett received a Provider of Distinction Award due to her exceptional patient care.
In addition to working with patients, Dr. Burnett also had the privilege to coach audiologists across the nation both in-person and via telehealth. She is passionate about mentoring other providers to help them feel confident in delivering excellent patient care. She believes education is the first step to better hearing and has presented at her local Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) meetings and published several educational editorials in a local magazine.
In her personal time, Dr. Burnett spends time with her husband enjoying new foods, playing board games, being outdoors, and traveling.
Nathan Evans is a Hearing Instrument Specialist, originally from Ohio. Nathan is a 12-year veteran of the hearing industry and has worked in clinics from southern California to northern Wisconsin. He joined Indiana Hearing Aid Company in 2024. Nathan was drawn to the profession after seeing three generations of his family deal with hearing loss.
What Nathan loves most about his job is fixing problems; when patients come in with an issue he can resolve to get them back to enjoying life to their fullest. Nathan focuses on educating patients on how our hearing system works and useful everyday hearing aid knowledge.
Outside of saving hearing lives, Nathan spends his time raising plants and children, authoring books and playing bagpipes in the Indianapolis 500 Gordon Pipers band.
Katie Smith is a Hearing Instrument Specialist Trainee. Katie is from Indianapolis, IN, and attended Decatur Central. Katie began working in the hearing industry in 2023 at Indiana Hearing Aid Company. She was drawn to the profession because of her love for helping others. What Katie loves most about saving hearing lives is getting to know her patients personally and seeing the positive impacts hearing health has on their everyday lives. In her everyday work, Katie strives to create a judgment-free zone for her patients to voice their hearing concerns. Outside of saving hearing lives, Katie loves to spend time with her two kids, read, and go to concerts.
